From the London Courant.
THE GEORGE, a New Song, on Lord George Germaine's Promotion.
Tune, --Push about the Jorum.
Of great and glorious names to speak,
  Since fame the subject urges,
In fighting times a pride I take,
  To sing about the Georges.
For Gordon George whose life was spar'd,
The mob may rant and tear-o,
He's nothing in the scale compar'd
  To George the Minden hero.
  . . . [2 verses]
. . . [4 lines of third verse followed by]
  The auction o'er--The British Don,
  Beheld himself a noodle,
Who lost his place, whilst he and Vaughan,
  Were singing Yankee Doodle.
  . . . [2 more verses]
